Boat Pull

Saturday 14th june 2003 a group of Pippin regulars from the Wyken Pippin with some friends pulled a 16 ton 65ft canal boat from Hawkesbury Junction to Coventry city centre and back a total distance of 11 miles A total of over £2000 was raised for local charity baby lifeline.

The Boat: Dresden Lady Built 1976, Skipper Terry Rutherford, Sister boat Dove of Belgrade

Both boats were commissioned by Coventry City Council Education department to give inner city kids a chance to experience rural life on the canals. The boats were named after two of Coventry's twin cities
